Iran has recently intensified diplomatic contacts with Armenia and Azerbaijan, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said during a press briefing on Monday.

These contacts, he said, are aimed at strengthening security. Iran maintains good relations with the two neighbors; the security of the Caucasus region and all neighbors is very important for Tehran, Baghaei added.
