Tense situation in Shengavit: the district administration is trying to demolish 6 temporary buildings: 5 minors live in the house

A tense situation has developed in the Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan. Employees of the district administration, accompanied by police, are trying to demolish 6 temporary houses. Technology is also involved here.

On Friday, August 28, representatives of the administration unexpectedly announced plans for the residents of these houses to demolish these houses, urging residents to vacate the temporary buildings, despite the fact that they had lived there for more than 30 years.

The houses have not been privatized; according to residents, they received them as a gift from philanthropists and improved the area themselves, which used to be a landfill. There are 5 minor children living in the house, 2 of whom are aged 2-3 months.
