Termination of Russian Mir cards service in Armenia requires clarification

The data on the termination of service of ‘Mir’ payment cards in Armenia require clarification, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said in a press briefing on Wednesday.

“This requires additional clarification, which is what our department is currently engaged in—the specialized department and the government generally,” she said.

Armenian banks will stop servicing Russian ‘Mir’ payment cards from March 30, 2024, with the exception of VTB Armenia Bank (Russia’s VTB subsidiary).
