Since early morning, law enforcement officers have been conducting a search at the private home of Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party. Iveta Tonoyan, the party’s press secretary, told journalists that what is happening is yet another manifestation of political pressure, coming immediately after the Constitutional Court’s decision.
According to her, law enforcement officers began their actions early in the morning on July 6, at 07:16, “without even waiting for dawn.”
“These large-scale actions, on the whole, point to one thing: they are trying to pressure Gagik Tsarukyan by every possible and impossible means. They held back and waited for the Constitutional Court’s decision, after which they moved into action from the early morning,” Tonoyan noted.
