The authorities want to prove that there was no historical Armenia, they seek to erase the entire history, public figure and theologian Petros Hajian told Alpha News.

“They want to take historical Armenia out of us. They want to destroy everything and prove that historical Armenia never existed. There was a revolution in 2018, but I do not consider it a revolution, I call it terror. Immoral, anti-national individuals came to power,” Hajian said.

Hajian is sure that the only savior of Armenia is the church, and in order to hinder the movement, the authorities are spreading rumors.

“Their struggle is directed against changing the Catholicos, against changing the entire doctrine of the Church. In 2018, when this man named Nikol came to power, he made a lot of promises, but what was the result? Now they have started spreading rumors to destroy the church. This is the only struggle to prevent the collapse of Armenian statehood, and the only savior of Armenia is the church,” Petros Hajian said.
