The Azerbaijani lobby in Congress is a threat to Armenia: ANCA

The Armenian National Committee of America in Washington has issued a statement on politicians who support Azerbaijan. During the current electoral cycle, the committee’s office is aiming to prevent allies of Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev from entering Congress, among them congressmen Henry Cuellar, Steve Cohen, Randy Fine, and New Hampshire Senate candidate John E. Sununu.

The statement notes that Cuellar, co-chair of the Azerbaijan caucus, received $600,000 in Azerbaijani bribes to advance US policy against Artsakh and Armenia; Cohen has spent two decades mounting aggressive attacks against Artsakh, Armenia, and the Armenian community; the Sununu family profits from the activities of Anglo Asian Mining in Artsakh, where ethnic cleansing took place; and Fine supports initiatives to provide aid and weapons to Azerbaijan and recently stated publicly that no Armenian should have the right to serve in Congress.
