The European Union turned a blind eye to all democratic principles in order to obtain the desired result in Armenia’s elections. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova made this statement during a regular briefing.

“For the sake of the necessary result, Brussels easily turned a blind eye to everything that goes by the name of democracy, principles, and rule of law. They forgot and threw into the bin their own slogans about non-interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state, about non-influence and non-involvement in electoral processes, about sovereign peoples,” the diplomat noted.
