The gas discount is Russia’s contribution to Armenia’s development: Dmitry Peskov

Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, stated that the gas supply discount for Armenia is provided at Russia’s expense and represents a form of assistance to a brotherly nation.

“A discount is always at someone’s expense. The discount that Armenians receive is always at someone’s expense, it does not fall from the sky. It comes at the expense of the Russian Federation. This is genuinely our contribution to Armenia’s development, given that the Armenian people are our brotherly people. It is a brotherly country, it was and will remain so, and the gas discounts come at our expense. Let us call things by their proper names, this is our assistance to Armenia,” Peskov stressed.
