After an Azerbaijani who had ended up on Armenian territory was found, the military handed him over to the National Security Service, Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, said at a briefing while commenting on the incident.
“The man crossed over, the military found him and handed him over to the NSS. They saw a man walking, detained him and handed him over to the NSS. He wasn’t detained on Republic Square,” he said.
Speaking about border protection, Pashinyan added that there is no border or line of contact that cannot be violated.
“This man crossed the border, now we have to return him,” he said.
