Strong Armenia party member Asmik Amirzadyan has been detained and charged, though the specific article under which she has been charged remains unknown. “There is no legal basis for these proceedings whatsoever. This is simply a show to keep people in an atmosphere of fear. Asmik is raising five minor children, all of whom are adopted, and that speaks to her moral character as a person. The authorities are arresting decent people, true mothers, because ‘the Pashinyanites’ have no liking for people of high moral standing and patriotism,” Mkhitaryan said.

As a reminder, 15 Strong Armenia party representatives were detained earlier today.
