This is another concession to Azerbaijan: Abrahamyan on new Constitution

It cannot be said that Strong Armenia is against TRIPP. The general chronology must be understood here. TRIPP and the peace process were launched in parallel, and in fact TRIPP is identified with the peace treaty, Tigran Abrahamyan, Secretary of the Strong Armenia faction, said during parliamentary briefings.

According to him, the Civil Contract party ran in the elections promising peace and received a corresponding number of votes.

“Today, Azerbaijan is publicly demanding a change to the Constitution, and the government, through its actions, is leading toward the adoption of a new Constitution, although it claims this is not happening at Azerbaijan’s demand. This is another concession to Azerbaijan. We believe the peace treaty and TRIPP should have been submitted to parliament at the same time. Undoubtedly, if the peace treaty had been signed and presented together with TRIPP, Strong Armenia would have voted differently,” Abrahamyan said.
