Today marks 27th anniversary of anointing and enthronement of Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians

Today marks the 27th anniversary of the anointing and enthronement of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.

“We wholeheartedly congratulate the Supreme Patriarch and wish him long life, steadfastness and inexhaustible energy in his sacred pastoral mission.

Today, as the Holy Armenian Apostolic Church faces many challenges, the patriarchal leadership and unwavering resilience of His Holiness strengthen us all, helping us to stand firm in our faith, to unite around the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and to preserve the purity of the Christian values with which our Holy Church has nurtured and raised its children for centuries.

We pray that Almighty God will ever keep the Armenian Patriarch in His grace, so that for many years to come, as a good and faithful shepherd, he may lead our faithful people along the path of the Lord — to the glory of Christ, for the flourishing of our Holy Church and for the sake of peace in our native land,” reads the message issued by the press office of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
