Toivo Klaar discusses a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Baku

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar on October 11.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of the draft peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the normalization of relations between the two countries and the current situation in the region.

Bayramov stressed that the Azerbaijani side is interested in a positive outcome of the meetings on the peace agenda held through the mediation of international partners, including the EU, and that after 30 years “a historic opportunity has arisen to ensure peace and stability in the region.”
