This government poses a threat to Armenian statehood. All the assessments we have made regarding its nature and character remain valid. That’s what Ishkhan Saghatelyan, MP from the Armenia faction, said in comments to journalists. According to Saghatelyan, the current authorities pose a threat to Armenian statehood.
“In the new parliament, if the current regime remains in place, the challenges facing the country have not only failed to disappear but are intensifying by the day. That is why the issue of a change of power remains on the agenda,” the MP noted.
Commenting on the TRIPP project, the opposition MP stressed that it is not a simple, ordinary route like the Sevan–Yerevan highway or the North–South corridor.
“This is a road on which Armenia’s sovereignty is limited. It is not an ordinary highway: various infrastructure will run along it, managed by an Armenian-American company whose controlling stake is held by the United States,” Ishkhan Saghatelyan said.
