Trump appoints Armenian Michael Kavoukjian as US ambassador to Norway

US President Donald Trump has appointed Armenian Michael Kavoukjian as ambassador to Norway.
“I am pleased to announce that Michael E. Kavoukjian will serve as the next US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway. Michael is a brilliant attorney, who currently serves as a Senior Partner at White & Case, where he has led complex commercial litigation teams around the World,” the US president announced on Truth Social.
Kavoukjian is a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Law School. He previously served as a CIA operations officer.
