“Trump Route” will allow the deployment of US troops in Armenia: Russian Security Council

The implementation of the “Trump Route” project in Armenia will allow the deployment of US troops directly on the border with Iran, stated Alexey Shevtsov, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council, at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF-2026).

“The so-called ‘Trump Route’ through the territory of Armenia… allows the West, the Americans, to deploy their troops or private military companies, as well as intelligence infrastructure, directly on the territory of Armenia in the immediate vicinity of the border with Iran,” Shevtsov noted.

EEF-2026 is taking place from September 1 to 4 in Vladivostok.
