Trump says he will work with Democrats for the good of the US

Donald Trump, President of the United States, has said he does not intend to spend the next two years simply vetoing Congress’s decisions and will work with the Democrats for the good of the country.

“We will work with the Democrats to ensure the well-being of our country. This is very important… I don’t want to just sit there for two years vetoing everything,” Trump told Politico.

The US Democratic Party will win a majority in the Senate following the midterm congressional elections, securing at least 51 seats in the upper chamber, according to a projection by Bloomberg.
