Turkish deputy foreign minister reports concrete steps toward normalizing relations with Armenia

Berris Ekinci, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, said that Ankara is carrying out the process of normalizing relations with Armenia at the bilateral level.

“Recently intensified high-level visits between our countries have made a significant contribution to strengthening bilateral dialogue. We have taken concrete steps in the fields of transport, energy and culture, as well as toward the resumption of direct trade,” Armenia’s Public Television quotes the deputy minister as saying.

According to her, all of this gives grounds to look at the region’s future with optimism.
