According to Turkish media, during the diplomatic forum in Antalya, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, speaking about the need to resolve conflicts in the region, touched upon the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, calling it a “diplomatic model.”

According to Fidan, Turkey is making serious efforts to establish peace in the South Caucasus. He stressed that only one or two steps remain before a peace agreement, coordinated in Washington, is finalized.

“We see that both sides are sincere. The peace agreement to be concluded by Azerbaijan will open the way for important stability for the peoples of the region.

With the signing of a final agreement and the normalization of Armenian-Turkish and Azerbaijani-Armenian relations, very significant results are expected in the fields of economic and energy security. The ‘Zangezur corridor’ is very important for Turkey in terms of strengthening regional connectivity.

We are in close contact with the EU on this issue. As soon as the peace agreement is signed, there will be major and positive developments in the region,” Fidan said.
