Vardan Ghukasyan acquitted of hooliganism charge in court

Judge Vahe Jivanyan has acquitted former Gyumri mayor Vardan Ghukasyan, according to lawyer Aramais Hayrapetyan.

As a reminder, in 2025, during court proceedings at the Anti-Corruption Court, Vardan and Spartak Ghukasyan made sharp remarks against those accusing them of bribery.

Following the incident, they were charged with hooliganism committed by a group of persons using information and communication technologies.

The lawyer noted that the charge against Spartak Ghukasyan was requalified. As a result, Vardan Ghukasyan is the only one acquitted in this case.
