Variance Films Company Acquires “Amerikatsi” by Hollywood director Michael Goorjian

The film “Amerikatsi” by the Hollywood director and screenwriter Michael Goorjian was acquired by the independent film company “Variance Films”. The film was produced in Armenia by People of Ar Productions. “Amerikatsi” tells the story of Charlie, who returns to his homeland in 1948, decades after he fled to the United States as a child due to the persecution of the Ottoman Empire.

Goorjian is an Emmy Award winner. His debut as a director was the film “Illusion”. The director is half Armenian on the father’s side. His grandparents managed to escape from the Armenian Genocide in 1915.
