The Washington DC City Council unanimously passed a resolution marking the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, reaffirming the importance of educating future generations to prevent such atrocities from happening again, the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) reported.

The ANC of DC also launched a community-wide action alert calling on the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) to ensure robust and inclusive genocide education in the DC public schools, including resources on the 1915 Armenian Genocide and the 2023 Artsakh genocide.
