A protest in support of Armenian prisoners of war detained in Baku was held in Stockholm, Sweden. Alpha News interviewed the organizer of the protest, Arpine Martirosyan.

“The demonstration took place outside the Foreign Ministry building. We raised the issue of Armenian prisoners in Baku and called on Sweden to take action to secure their return. We also demanded that Sweden immediately cease all cooperation with Azerbaijan and its leader until the last prisoner is freed from Baku,” Martirosyan said.

According to Martirosyan, passers-by engaged with the protest, with many stopping to ask questions.

“There was no clear reaction from passers-by, but several approached us to ask what happened. Some were familiar with Ruben Vardanyan, and our posters had QR codes that they scanned to learn more. The posters read, ‘Freedom for all prisoners of war,’ ‘Aliyev is an accomplice to war,’ and ‘Stop cooperation with Azerbaijan and Aliyev,’” Martirosyan concluded.
