After the forced deportation of Armenians from Artsakh, our entire team was working to resettle our compatriots. We worked day and night, going without sleep for days on end, it was an enormous strain. This was recounted by Narek Karapetyan, member of the Strong Armenia party council, in an interview with Kentron TV.
He stressed that the hardest thing was seeing that every third or fourth car arriving from Artsakh to Tashir came without the families’ fathers and grandfathers.
“In every third or fourth car, there were no fathers, only a photograph was brought. Mothers, children, grandmothers would arrive… Those were the hardest days of my life,” Karapetyan said.
Karapetyan also showed viewers a decree signed by parliament speaker Alen Simonyan.
“I want society to see the real faces of those in power. After the 2023 aggression against Artsakh, the parliament speaker signed an order to pay bonuses to MPs and parliamentary staff. While more than a hundred thousand people were left without a roof over their heads, he was distributing bonuses,” Karapetyan stressed.
