Employees of the Olympavan sports complex, part of the Multi Group concern (owned by Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party), are holding a protest in front of the government building.

They are demanding that the center resume operations, that they be allowed to return to normal work, and that clarity be brought to the current uncertain situation.

According to one of the protest participants, the suspension of the sports complex’s work has dealt a serious blow to both employees and hundreds of athletes and other citizens.

“We just want to work, the same as police officers, doctors, or civil servants. I’ve worked here since 2017, and now, at 48 years old, I’m being told I don’t have the right to work. Without offering any alternatives, they immediately shut down the jobs. We don’t want to interfere in political or other processes, we just demand that the doors be opened,” he said.
