What is now happening around the Strong Armenia party has nothing to do with the law, legality or democracy, Levon Kocharyan, an MP from the Armenia faction, wrote on social media, commenting on the searches and detentions of members of the political force and its leader, Samvel Karapetyan.

“(Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan – ed.) Aliyev wants to impose his constitution on Armenia, and Nikol Pashinyan is persecuting and arresting everyone who opposes it. Those law enforcement officers, prosecutors and members of the judiciary who are committing this lawlessness, however much they try to convince themselves that they are acting lawfully and on the orders of their superiors, have in fact become a tool in the hands of Ilham Aliyev. They, their friends and their relatives must live with this awareness,” Kocharyan said.
