“When it comes to fuel supplies, Armenia relies on a reliable source such as Azerbaijan”: Aliyev

While many countries, especially at present, are experiencing difficulties accessing fuel sources, Armenia relies on a reliable source such as Azerbaijan. This was stated by Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, at the opening of the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum, according to Azerbaijani media.

“Azerbaijan and Armenia initialed a peace agreement at the White House with the participation of President Trump. After that, Azerbaijan unilaterally and fully lifted its restrictions on Armenia,” he said.

According to Aliyev, more than 40,000 tons of various cargo have been delivered to Armenia from Russia, Kazakhstan, and other countries. Azerbaijan itself has begun supplying petroleum products to Armenia.

“To date, more than 10,000 tons have already been delivered to the country. While many countries, especially at present, are experiencing difficulties accessing fuel sources, Armenia relies on a reliable source such as Azerbaijan. Otherwise, it would have had to seek gasoline and diesel fuel elsewhere in the world.”
