Anna Grigoryan, an MP from the Armenia faction, addressed Parliament Speaker Ruben Rubinyan during a National Assembly session.
“Mr. Rubinyan, who needs your excellent command of Armenian when Artsakh was surrendered under your rule, and an Azerbaijani soldier can freely infiltrate and harm an Armenian woman?” she said.
The faction leader also touched on the creation of an inquiry commission studying the “existing crisis” in the Church, asking what legal grounds the authorities have for forming a body that interferes in the internal affairs of the Church.
“Now I would like you to present not just your opinion, wishes and dreams, but also legal grounds. Article 17 of the law regulating relations between the state and the Church states that the Church of the Republic of Armenia is separated from the state, and the state does not interfere in the internal life of the Church and religious organizations. And this is direct interference in the internal life of the Church,” Grigoryan said.
According to her, an inquiry commission on national issues cannot be formed in principle.
