Due to strong wind on May 11, 23-year-old Ruzanna Harutyunyan, who was 36 weeks pregnant, was brought to Erebuni Maternity Hospital with penetrating trauma, an abdominal rupture, severe pain, and bleeding. Medical professionals immediately conducted an examination, and within seven minutes, surgery was underway.

According to Andranik Poghosyan, director of the maternity ward at Erebuni Medical Center, such a case is unprecedented in his decades-long career.

“My working experience has already exceeded 45 years, but I have never seen a pregnant woman suffer such an injury due to a natural disaster. It looks like a real miracle,” the doctor said.

Little Marine was born with a deep 5-centimeter wound on her forehead, but doctors assess her overall condition as stable. The girl was born with a weight of 2,450 grams and a height of 48 centimeters.
