Moscow has noted Yerevan’s ostentatious tolerance of the Western countries’ campaign to stoke anti-Russian sentiment, Maria Zakharova, official spokeswoman for Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated at a regular briefing.

“We also note the ostentatious tolerance shown by the team of (Armenian Prime Minister) Nikol Pashinyan toward the West’s targeted campaign to stoke anti-Russian sentiment. Literally every day there are claims and planted stories alleging that Moscow is interfering in the republic’s internal affairs,” Zakharova said.

According to her, Yerevan views its relations with Moscow as a tool for financially underwriting its reorientation toward the European path.

“It is plain to see that relations with Moscow are being treated as a tactical instrument for financially underwriting the reorientation toward the European path,” the diplomat added.
