Washington will wind down its agreements with Armenia painlessly once it “loses its appetite,” Maria Zakharova, official spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in an interview with RIA Novosti at the SPIEF.

Armenia and the United States signed a joint comprehensive strategic partnership agreement in late May. The parties also signed agreements on the supply, extraction, and processing of rare earth minerals, as well as a framework agreement on strategic cooperation under the “Trump pathway to international prosperity” project.

“When Washington loses its appetite or its priorities shift, it will wind all of this down completely painlessly for itself,” Zakharova said.
