Speaking with Alpha News, Russian MP Vitaly Milonov commented on the possible presence of Israeli army soldiers on the territory of Azerbaijan, Erdogan’s statements regarding Israel, as well as the role of Turkey and Great Britain in a possible so-called “Zangezur corridor”.

“In addition to advisers, Israeli military personnel mainly include specialists in sabotage operations. It is also intelligence. As we know very well, the Israeli intelligence service, the MOSSAD, and other services feel very comfortable in Azerbaijan. Why? Because they have a place that they both do not like. This is Iran. Because the Israeli special services in Azerbaijan actively opposed and eliminated those forces that consider themselves pro-Iranian in Azerbaijan and those who advocate maximum contact between these countries,” the politician said.

According to Vitaly Milonov, Turkey and Israel are partners, and a conflict between them is impossible.

“Erdogan’s assurances that Turkey may start a war with Israel look absolutely implausible and incomprehensible. It is impossible. You understand that they are interconnected systems that support and feed each other. And they exist at each other’s expense. So, it is absolutely impossible to say here that this scenario is likely. Turkey will never attack Israel, and Israel will not attack Turkey, because the members of the same alliance—the alliance that attacked Artsakh—are all one military coalition,” Milonov stressed.

He believes that Turkey is inherently very mercantile, and the West will pay it with Armenian lands.

“The Zangezur corridor is, of course, an absolutely predatory, inhumane idea of England and the United States. Why? Because unlike some small Baltic states, which can only dream in wet dreams of cutting off a piece of Russia for themselves, Turkey has never been shy. Turkey is a country that always remembers its own benefits. And yes, it estimates very well its willingness to interact with Western countries. That is, it sets its own conditions. It’s just that Turkey’s political objectives are not so obvious. It is always necessary to look closely at Turkish actions to understand where the Turks see benefits for themselves—the benefits that are obvious, either superfinancial or territorial.

Turkey will not do anything to anyone just like that. The Bayraktars, and so on—everything was given in a large advance, in exchange for something. We need to see, something very serious must be going on. What serious? The serious thing is a piece of Armenia, which they want to get in agreement with Western countries,” he concluded.
