Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, called his visit to Russia a good opportunity to discuss bilateral cooperation.
“I believe my visit is quite relevant due to the dynamics of our bilateral relations. I remember the last time we met in this format was in July 2023. I believe this visit is a good opportunity to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as to have a thorough exchange of views on a number of topical issues on the regional and global agenda. I would like to emphasize Armenia’s interest in continuing the effective political dialogue to discuss issues affecting our bilateral relations and the regional situation in general,” Mirzoyan said.
According to him, Armenia has always been committed to the principle of open and constructive dialogue. “We hope that the Russian side will continue to take into account all aspects of the situation, avoiding one-sided interpretations, which, unfortunately, we have seen lately. I hope our meeting today contributes to mutual understanding,” he said.
