Dmitry Ishkhanov shines at Beethoven’s 255th anniversary concert

The Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Sergey Smbatyan, performed a concert to mark the 255th anniversary of German composer Ludwig van Beethoven, ORER Armenian European Magazine reported.
The concert program, titled Fate Knocking at the Door, featured Beethoven’s famous Fate Symphony and Piano Concerto No. 5, the Emperor. The concert was performed with the orchestra by talented pianist and prize winner of international competitions Dmitry Ishkhanov.
The audience warmly received Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5, which was skillfully performed by pianist Dmitry Ishkhanov.
Dmitry Ishkhanov is one of the most talented pianists of the young generation. In 2021, Ishkhanov released his first CD, Virtuoso, with Parma Recordings playing a program by Chopin.
Dmitry Ishkhanov has achieved great success in numerous international contests and actively performs at various festivals, including the Lucerne Festival, the Washington International Piano Festival, etc. He has performed in such prestigious concert halls as the Beethoven House in Bonn, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, and the Tonhalle in Zurich.
After a glorious performance at the Lucerne Festival in 2017, the Luzerner Zeitung magazine wrote about Dmitry Ishkhanov: “Evgeny Kissin, Grigory Sokolov – your successor is coming.”
