Following the incident in Yerevan’s Nor Nork administrative district, all six accused, including Tigran Ter-Margaryan, Artur Chakhoyan, and Mesrop Manukyan, have been placed under recognizance not to leave as a measure of restraint, the Armenian Investigative Committee reports.

As it has been reported, two days earlier the head of the Nor Nork administrative district, Tigran Ter-Margaryan, along with other employees, severely beat activist Artur Chakhoyan. A criminal case was initiated in connection with the incident. The police officers detained only Chakhoyan, stating that he was invited to the police station to submit a report. In response to the incident, the Yerevan mayor’s office emphasized that violence in any form is unacceptable and that violence cannot be only physical.
