Sevilla’s offer did not suit Lokomotiv, says Nair Tiknizyan’s agent

Alexander Klyuev, the agent of Lokomotiv Moscow and Armenian national team midfielder Nair Tiknizyan, has revealed details of Sevilla’s offer and Tiknizyan’s failed move to Zenit last January.

“The truth is that Sevilla have had interest for quite some time. Moreover, they made an offer to Lokomotiv. Maybe it wasn’t as impressive as Lokomotiv had expected,” he stated.

When asked why Tiknizyan did not transfer to Zenit, Klyuev responded, “I’m confused by the different explanations. At first, I was told that the problem was in Lokomotiv—they wanted too much money. Then I was told the problem was with the personal contract. There were claims that we had asked Zenit for some outrageous sum—almost two million—but of course, that wasn’t true!”
