Over 8,000 Artsakh people granted Armenian citizenship – Deputy Interior Minister

As of May 20, a total of 9,451 Artsakh people applied for Armenian citizenship, Deputy Interior Minister Armen Ghazaryan announced during a press conference.
According to him, 8,315 adult applicants have received citizenship. Minors are granted citizenship automatically if at least one parent has obtained it.
In total, more than 2,000 minors have been granted Armenian citizenship. The deputy minister noted that the number of the applicants is growing.
However, the official did not specify how many Artsakh people left Armenia, advising that this data should be obtained from the National Security Service.
