The statement released by Armenia’s Investigative Committee does not reflect reality, lawyer Hovhannes Khudoyan said in a conversation with journalists.
“The recordings that have been published do not represent the truth. The details are yet to be clarified. It is possible they were edited or generated in some other way,” he noted.
In response to a question from Alpha News, the lawyer stated that one of the two criminal code articles carries a maximum sentence of 12 years, and the other, 15 years of imprisonment.
“But in reality, these articles were also artificially constructed. Many legal experts have already said that bringing charges under those provisions should not have been possible,” Khudoyan added.
