Armenian authorities know well that Erdogan is now ‘the overseer of the region’ — Tiran Lokmagozyan

Fortunately, the so-called “peace” agreement was not signed, Turkologist Tiran Lokmagozyan said in an interview with Alpha News, commenting on the meeting between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, which took place the day before in Abu Dhabi.

“This is not a peace agreement, but a capitulation,” he added.

The Turkologist recalled that Erdogan has repeatedly stated that the borders in the region need to be changed.

“We must take note of this. Let’s also not forget that Donald Trump—though he seemed to be at odds with Erdogan—after coming to power declared that Erdogan was the ‘overseer of the region.’ I believe the current Armenian authorities are well aware of this,” Lokmagozyan emphasized.

According to him, this is precisely why the current Armenian authorities are bowing to Erdogan.
