Next week has been tentatively set as a benchmark for a meeting between the Russian and US presidents, Russian leader’s aide Yuri Ushakov said on Thursday.
He was responding to journalists’ questions regarding a report by The New York Times, which stated that Donald Trump is expected to meet with Vladimir Putin next week.
“A tentative timeframe has been set for next week, but the parties are beginning to prepare for this important meeting, and it is hard to say exactly how many days the preparations will take. But the possibility of holding the meeting within the next week has been considered, and we are quite positive about this option,” the Kremlin spokesperson said.
