It was a partial local outage – media expert on Google and YouTube disruptions

On Thursday, Google and YouTube experienced major disruptions. Media expert Artur Papyan told Alpha News that no official explanations have been released—neither on Google’s official blog, nor on X, or any other platform.

“We have observed connection anomalies on only a few platforms. The reason is most likely a technical failure in the Google server system. The issue spans a fairly large geographic area. Users in several Eastern European countries, Turkey reported connection interruptions. The same thing happened in Armenia. It was a partial local outage, it could have been just a technical malfunction in regional communication or infrastructure. Of course, at the moment we can only guess,” the expert noted.
