Armenia to submit new nominations for UNESCO’s Tentative World Heritage List

Armenia intends to submit new nominations to include natural and cultural monuments in UNESCO’s Tentative World Heritage List.
The full list has not been disclosed, but it is already known that one of the nominations is being developed as a public-private partnership and focuses on the Areni-1 Cave and its connection to winemaking.
Previously, the following sites were added to UNESCO’s Tentative List: The Vishap Stones and the Cultural Landscape of Tirinkatar, Urartian Heritage of Yerevan, Archaeological Complex of Garni, and the Symphony of Stones.
