Azerbaijanis are taking first steps: Samvel Karapetyan on incident of Azerbaijani soldier’s infiltration into Shaki

“The Azerbaijanis are taking their first steps, and we warned about this,” Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the Strong Armenia party, told journalists in front of the courthouse, commenting on the case of an Azerbaijani serviceman’s infiltration into the village of Shaki in Syunik Province.

“If they do not now receive a proper rebuff, it will happen again with even greater force,” he added.

Samvel Karapetyan expressed support for Ani Avetisyan, who was seriously wounded by a shot fired by an Azerbaijani serviceman in the village of Shaki, noting that she did not wait for Pashinyan’s government to act and personally defended her children and family.

According to Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the Strong Armenia party, the Azerbaijani must bear responsibility to the full extent of the law.

“We must use this occasion to bring back our prisoners from Baku,” he said, adding that the Civil Contract party will “look after and pamper” the Azerbaijani.
