Head of state must be worthy of his position – The People Speak

As part of “The People Speak” project, Alpha News conducted surveys in Yerevan and in Armenian-populated communities in the United States and Russia to gather public opinion on today’s most pressing issues.
Participants in the Alpha News survey were asked, among other things, what qualities Armenia’s next leader should possess. One respondent stated that the head of state must be worthy of the role: “He must not engage in actions deserving public condemnation. He must be honest with the people in all matters.”
Another participant emphasized that, first of all, the new leadership must be smart, and secondly, it must take into account Armenia’s centuries-old history.
“Whoever comes to power must have strength, be able to analyze, and not just say whatever comes to mind,” said another respondent.
Speaking about the campaign against the Armenian Apostolic Church, citizens called it unacceptable, emphasizing that the Church has preserved the identity of the Armenian people.
“The Church is our sacred place. I consider the events happening around it unacceptable,” noted another participant.
