Macron reiterates continued support for Armenia’s independence and sovereignty

As part of the 7th summit of the European Political Community in Copenhagen, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.
During the talks, Pashinyan and Macron discussed the course of Armenia–France multifaceted cooperation and prospects for its development. Both sides reaffirmed the high level of the privileged relations established between the two countries and emphasized the importance of implementing new joint initiatives.
The meeting also touched upon regional developments, the agreements reached at the Washington Peace Summit, and the implementation of the TRIPP project.
President Macron reiterated France’s continued support for Armenia’s independence and sovereignty, as well as for the country’s democratic reform agenda. Pashinyan expressed gratitude to France for its comprehensive support during this important period for Armenia. The sides agreed to maintain close contacts both bilaterally and within multilateral platforms.
