If we were in Ukraine’s place, they would treat us differently – Artur Martirosyan

The Armenian authorities are ready to hand everything over to Azerbaijan and Turkey on a silver platter, Artur Martirosyan, negotiation specialist and senior consultant with CMPartners, said in an interview with Alpha News.

“As long as Donald Trump remains in power, Azerbaijan and Turkey are unlikely to attempt to resolve any issues in Armenia militarily, but they don’t need to. They have already secured what they wanted, and they are ready to get more from the current authorities. The authorities are ready to hand everything over to Azerbaijan and Turkey on a silver platter. As the saying goes, you keep making concessions because you are the weaker party,” he said.

According to him, Donald Trump cannot imagine peace without pressure.

“There has to be pressure. The parties must be exhausted by war for him to step in and declare peace. Ukrainians and Russians aren’t tired of fighting yet—so let them continue. Does Trump ask himself: am I serving my own interests? No. But he sells weapons to Europeans, the Europeans transfer them to Ukrainians, Ukrainians strike Russian oil and gas facilities–and it doesn’t harm the US. The key point is that they’ve pushed Russia out of the European gas and energy market,” Martirosyan emphasized.
