Nancy Pelosi among honorees at ANCA gala event – Garen Jinbachian

Speaking with Alpha News, Garen Jinbachian, Community Coordinator for the ANCA-Western Region, reflected on the year’s accomplishments and the impact of the Committee’s work.

He announced that this Sunday, a traditional gala event will be held to present the Committee’s steps and actions taken throughout the year to address national Armenian issues. Prominent figures supporting the Committee will also speak, and awards will be presented. Representatives from the US Congress and international organizations have been invited to the event, and His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, is expected to attend.

“Among the Committee’s most significant achievements this year, I would highlight the letter signed by 87 members of Congress and sent to the Secretary of State. We received a response emphasizing the importance of releasing the 23 individuals held in Baku,” Jinbachian noted.

He added that five awards will be presented this year.

“One of the honorees is former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, under whose leadership the government recognized the Armenian Genocide. It was thanks to her that this became a reality,” Jinbachian emphasized.
