Georgia slams Armenian lawmakers over Euronest’s resolution

On October 31, the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly published a resolution that also addressed the situation in Georgia. According to the resolution, recent events in Georgia have demonstrated a decline in democracy, Georgia’s First Channel reports.
Vice Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Nino Tsilosani stated that the Euronest resolution is meaningless.
“Unfortunately, there were Armenian lawmakers who essentially expressed distrust toward their own prime minister, since the Prime Minister of Armenia has officially visited Georgia on several occasions and met with the legitimately elected government. By supporting a resolution that refers to the Georgian government as illegitimate, they are showing a lack of trust in their own prime minister. These arguments clearly show us how meaningless this resolution is, devoid of substance, with the sole aim of laying yet another brick against Georgia,” Tsilosani said.
