Armenia and Iran discuss launching ‘Simplified Customs Corridor’ on border

Eduard Hakobyan, Head of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC), and Foroud Asgari, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of Iran and Head of Customs, discussed the implementation of a “Simplified Customs Corridor” on the Armenian-Iranian border.

The project is a concept for creating more favorable conditions for foreign economic activity of law-abiding businesses.

The parties also addressed the mutual recognition of authorized economic operators and agreed to begin active negotiations in this direction.
