Armenian figure skaters Akopova and Rakhmanin advance to Olympic final

Armenia’s figure skating pair, Karina Akopova and Nikita Rakhmanin, delivered a brilliant performance in the short program at the 2026 Olympic Games, securing their place in the free skate.

After seven pairs had competed, it became clear that the Armenian representatives would definitely make the top 16 and continue competing in the final, which will take place on February 16.

Their short program earned them 66.27 points—their best score of the season. Once all pairs had performed, the Armenian team ranked 12th overall.

The top 16 pairs out of 19 advance to the free skate.
